Seminar Information

All classes are listed by session time and educational track. Feel free to attend any topic, but select the topics that are of value for you. Individual class sessions are either 75 minutes or 90 minutes in length. A 75-minute session is worth 1.25 hours of continuing education units (CEU's). A 90-minute session is worth 1.5 hours of CEU's. CPO and SHCM designated individuals need to have six hours of CEU's in occupancy or tax credit related topics, respectively, to renew their certification in 2011. Tax Credit CEU's count toward your required training hours to qualify for the SHCM certification.

Classes will run concurrently. To be most effective, it is recommended that you review the seminar descriptions and map out your preferred classes prior to the conference. We will offer maintenance classes on both days of the conference with a three-hour REAC seminar for maintenance professionals on Friday.

To help you make the most of your time at the conference, classes have been developed around a series of themes. The themes are: Agency, Property Management, Leadership, Occupancy/Leasing, and Maintenance/Green. Final program and room locations will be listed in the AHMA-NCNH 29th Annual Conference Seminar Guide that you will receive when you arrive for the conference.

The schedule listed is accurate at press time. Classes and instructors are subject to change should extraordinary circumstances dictate.

Post Conference SHCM Exam

Anyone who has attained their required 12-hours of federal low income housing tax credit training is eligible to sit for the Specialist in Housing Credit Management Certification (SHCM) Exam. The exam will be offered Friday afternoon, September 17, 2010, about 45 minutes after the Keynote Speaker and Poster Contest Awards Winners Luncheon concludes. The cost of the examination is $150.

To ensure the exams are ordered from Washington, D.C. and arrive on time, registration for the post confernce SHCM examination closes on September 2, 2010.
